When I received from Brit Mums (British Mummy Bloggers) the Schwartz 2 in 1 packs, I was sure I’d enjoy the potato recipe mix better.
I’m generally a potato fan and my 4 year old a pasta fan. However, she couldn’t wait for ASDA to deliver the potatoes as I haven’t made potatoes in a while.
Unfortunately, it was a hot day I chose to make the recipe and there were so many steps involving the oven. I think at the end the stress showed up in my cooking and though my DH and 4 year old ate it happily, it didn’t get as many ‘hmmms’ as the Pasta recipe.
I wish I had taken more photos of the Pasta. If only I’d known it would taste so good!
The Pasta is my dream week night meal. You can rustle it up really quickly. Just be sure to buy chicken strips so you’re not slaving over the chopping board. So, don’t hesitate to buy the Pasta mix.
MY 2 PENCE
Don’t forget to add your own basic seasoning – salt and pepper. I found the potatoes quite bland. You could probably do without for the Pasta since there’s cheese in the recipe but as you can see I had to use a lemon on my chicken to get over the blandness.

So tell me are you likely to pick up a packet of Schwartz? I’d really like to know.

I tend to buy easy dinners from time to time too, especially when business is hectic and I have kids and a hungry husband to feed LOL My kids enjoy whatever I make, the husband not so much, but hey, if he doesn’t like it, he can cook himself (which he dislikes even less, so he eats what he gets
)
Love it Leslie. I definitely understand where you’re coming from with running a business and juggling family life. I also like that these Schwartz packs have no MSG. I think easy dinners are the way to go. Shame I don’t have any for tonight
It sure looked good! I don’t think we have Schwartz kits over here in Canada, or at least I haven’t seen them in our local stores.
Not sure if they’re in Canada. I could tweet and ask though…I think they’re an international company.
